All our rugs are handmade using natural or recycled materials, emphasizing clean fibers and sustainability. We repurpose waste materials and use unbleached wool to reduce waste and promote fiber reuse. Wool is a durable material that retains its quality over time. To enhance recyclability, material blends are avoided whenever possible. For our upholstery fabrics, we use high-quality textiles that meet the industry's highest testing standards, maintaining exceptional quality while prioritizing sustainability.

LAYERED's products are designed to last over time, and we collaborate with selected partners to leverage their circular properties. Today, we are working with Mjuk in Sweden to offer a platform where our products can have a second life. Our products have a high resale value, providing customers with an additional reason to invest in them. In Stockholm, we also collaborate with professional rug cleaners to help our customers preserve the quality and lifespan of their rugs.

Environmentally friendly packaging and reduced plastic use are key priorities for us, especially within logistics. We use only recycled plastic and are transitioning to renewable packaging wherever possible. Since 2020, we have replaced all plastic in sample packaging with paper, eliminated printed information sheets, and reduced packaging sizes to minimize air transport. We also address the environmental impact of chemicals and dyeing by using eco-friendly dyeing processes and minimizing the use of harmful chemicals in production.

We are commited to operate ethically and contribute to economic, social, and environmental sustainability. This involves initiatives that address social welfare, environmental protection, and transparent governance, ensuring positive impacts for stakeholders and society while minimizing negative effects.
