Cord Collection: This rug is part of a design collaboration between LAYERED and Swedish furniture brand Massproductions.
Handwoven from 100% natural wool, this rug showcases a highly detailed technique. The signature stripes are woven directly into the foundation of the rug, and by using a slightly thicker yarn for the stripes, the design gets a subtle 3D effect—a texture that you can both see and feel. The natural color shifts in the wool give the rug a warm, rustic appearance. Each rug takes approximately two days to weave by hand—a timeframe well above the average for standard handcrafted rugs, reflecting the meticulous and precise craftsmanship.

Designed to capture an essence of patterned and textured rugs. It provides the clarity needed to appreciate the interplay of colors, textures and motifs in designs such as Lilly, Röllakan, Ochre Fields, and other patterned designs.

A compact swatch designed to give you a clear sense of color and material. Ideal for solid or jute rugs, as it provides an initial impression rather than a full view of the design.
HOW TO EVALUATE A SAMPLE

Experience the material in hand. Hand-tufted rugs have a denser, more substantial feel, while flatweaves are lighter and more relaxed—each shaping the overall comfort and expression of your space.
2. Observe the shifting light
Place the sample in your space and follow it from morning to evening. Notice how the tones shift with the light, from cooler daylight to a warmer, softer glow.
3. Assess the composition
View the sample alongside your furniture, flooring, and textiles. Consider how the colors and textures interact to create a balanced, cohesive interior.

- Cleaning: Wool is valued for its natural resilience and ability to maintain its shape over time. As a natural material, the rug may shed slightly initially, but this gradually diminishes with regular care. Wool is renewable, biodegradable, and naturally resistant to dirt, making it a durable and sustainable choice. Regular vacuuming without a brush helps preserve its softness and longevity. For a deeper clean, professional flat washing is recommended.
- Stain removal: Wipe the stain carefully with a mixture of lukewarm water and soap. Absorb excess liquid with a dry microfiber cloth.
