BREAKING BOUNDARIES
Sprung from the interesting meeting between the two worlds of interior and art, we now launch a collaborative collection together with the four, renowned Scandinavian artists Aida Chehrehgosha, Constance Tenvik, Emilia Ilke, Åsa Jungnelius, and Bella Rune, challenging the traditional view of what a rug should look like.

EMILIA ILKE
Emilia Ilke is a Stockholm-based artist celebrated for her intuitive, analogue approach and her ability to elevate everyday objects into poetic compositions. Her work is inspired by ceramics, photography, and fashion — always with a focus on form, character, and reinterpretation.
Together with LAYERED, she created a series of rugs that translate her playful visual language into textile form. The contrast between her spontaneous artistic process and the slow craftsmanship of handwoven rugs adds a new, tactile dimension to her work — inviting artful reflection into the everyday home.

ÅSA JUNGNELIUS
Åsa Jungnelius is a renowned Swedish artist and designer who explores themes of body and soul, color and shape. Her artistic vision and symbolic aesthetics inject a powerful sense of female energy into every object she creates.
Together with LAYERED, she created the Shell Wool Rug and Lips Wool Rug — two centerpieces that reference feminine power and reflect her artistic expertise.

Constance Tenvik
Constance Tenvik is a celebrated Norwegian artist known for her vivid, theatrical style and emotionally charged portraits. Her work explores themes of connection, presence, and collective experience — often blurring the line between observer and participant.
Together with LAYERED, she created the Opera Goers Wool Rug — a bold centerpiece that merges functionality with artistic expression. From a distance, the motif appears as playful, colorful forms, but up close reveals rows of concentrated faces, capturing the energy of a shared moment.

BELLA RUNE
Bella Rune is a Swedish artist known for her conceptual approach and exploration of materiality, space, and perception. Her work often plays with illusion and technology, merging the tactile with the digital.
Together with LAYERED, she created the Swept Under Rug — a visually striking piece where a color square disrupts the black-and-white pattern like light from an imagined window to history.

Aida Chehrehgoshas
Aida Chehrehgosha is a Swedish-Iranian artist whose photographic work is as unsettling as it is captivating. With cinematic precision, she stages scenes that evoke questions, emotions, and narratives left unsaid — blending discomfort with beauty. Her storytelling resonates deeply, whether with seasoned art audiences or first-time viewers.
In collaboration with LAYERED, she created The Balcony — a rug rooted in a powerful narrative about transformation, survival, and the weight of memory. Inspired by the story of a girl on the edge, the piece captures a moment suspended in time — inviting reflection on what it means to grow, to fall, and to continue living.
