JUTE AND SISAL
Step inside the award-winning Stockholm Stadshotell in the heart of Södermalm. Originally designed by architect Per Ulrik Stenhammar and built in the 1870s in memory of King Oscar I. This timeless setting became the backdrop for the shoot of Strata Braided in jute and Basket Weave in sisal.

STRATA BRAIDED
Strata Braided is handwoven from jute, a resilient fiber harvested from the stalk of the jute plant. This design introduces a new jute weave, crafted with a thicker yarn to create a denser, more robust quality. A contrasting color pattern is woven across the base, adding subtle shifts in height – the inspiration behind the name Strata, meaning layers. The palette of muted earth tones enhances the fiber’s natural warmth, making it an adaptable choice for living rooms, kitchens, or bedrooms.

BASKET WEAVE
Basket Weave is crafted from sisal, a natural fiber drawn from the leaves of the agave plant. Named after its classic basket-like weave, the collection has a drier, coarser hand than jute, with a matte, structured surface that suits both Scandinavian and bohemian interiors. Sisal is known for its remarkable durability, which makes it suited for high-traffic spaces such as entryways, beneath dining tables, or in home offices.
