Head of b2b sales
We are now looking for a Head of B2B Sales to take full strategic and commercial ownership of our global B2B business and play a key role in shaping the next phase of LAYERED’s expansion.

About the Role:
As Head of B2B Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and long-term expansion across all B2B sales channels, including wholesale partners, marketplaces, trade clients, architects, and interior designers. You are a member of the management team and work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to ensure the B2B strategy aligns with LAYERED’s overall commercial objectives and premium brand positioning. You will lead and develop the B2B team while ensuring an exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints.
Your main responsibilities:
B2B Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global B2B sales strategy across wholesale, marketplaces, and trade partners.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and international expansion opportunities.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key accounts to drive sales growth, retention, and brand presence.
- Ensure pricing structures, trade terms, and product assortments support both growth and profitability.
- Drive category and market development in close collaboration with product and marketing teams.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Work closely with the CEO, CMO, and CFO to align B2B sales targets with overall business goals.
- Partner with marketing to develop lead generation, trade communication, and brand-building initiatives for professional audiences.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure product availability, delivery excellence, and high service levels.
Sales operations & leadership
- Define, track, and optimize KPIs related to revenue growth, margins, customer acquisition, retention, and account performance.
- Utilize CRM systems, analytics, and sales tools to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Lead, coach, and develop the B2B sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure consistent sales methodologies and best practices across all B2B channels.
We are looking for someone who:
Proven experience in senior B2B sales roles within premium/luxury interiors, design, or retail.
Strong track record of building and scaling B2B sales channels and managing key accounts internationally.
Confident, inspiring leader with strong commercial acumen.
Analytical and data-driven, with experience in forecasting and performance management.
Entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-oriented.
Collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally with marketing, operations, finance, and leadership teams.

In this key role, you will help shape our future profitability and strategy. This is a dual-focus leadership position designed for a high-performing analytical professional.

About the Role
As a hybrid between a Buying Manager and a Business Controller, you are responsible for the strategic direction of our procurement while simultaneously serving as a financial co-pilot for the entire organization. You will ensure that our buying strategies are commercially sound, brand-aligned, and financially optimized, while also providing broader business analysis to support the company’s overall growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Buying & Brand Management
- Capacity Planning: Responsible for high-level capacity planning by aligning long-term sales forecasts with supplier production capabilities to proactively identify the company's needs.
- Commercial Assortment Planning: Partner with Sales and Marketing to align product intake with commercial calendars and brand-building initiatives.
- High-Level Negotiations: Drive complex negotiations with key partners to improve terms, lead times, and sustainability standards.
2. Buying & Supply Chain Controlling
- Inventory & Margin Management: Own the "Open-to-Buy" (OTB) planning, gross margin analysis, and stock-turnover optimization.
- COGS Optimization: Detailed tracking and analysis of Cost of Goods Sold to identify saving opportunities and price elasticity.
- S&OP Integration: Bridge the gap between sales forecasts and purchasing to minimize capital tied up in stock.
3. Corporate Business Controlling & Analysis
- Cross-Functional Analysis: Provide financial insights and ROI analysis for departments beyond purchasing, such as Marketing, Logistics, and Sales.
- P&L Responsibility: Assist the Management/C-level in monitoring the overall Profit & Loss statement and identifying variances against budget.
- Strategic Projects: Lead or support ad-hoc business cases, such as market expansions, warehouse investments, or new sales channel evaluations.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
- Experience: You have a background in Business Control or an equivalent analytical field.
- Analytical Mindset: You find joy in complex data sets and use data to inform decisions and guide strategic priorities.
- Commercial Instinct: You don't just see numbers; you see opportunities to increase sales and strengthen the brand’s market position.
- System Expert: You are a "Power User" in Excel and have a strong interest in ERP systems and BI tools to automate workflows.
- Holistic Thinker: You understand how a delay in the supply chain affects the P&L and how a marketing campaign impacts stock requirements.
- Teamplayer: You are a collaborative professional who works seamlessly with cross-functional teams and ideally has experience leading a team.
