Please note that custom-made items, furniture, and samples are not eligible for return. Additionally, we are unable to process returns at our showrooms in Stockholm or Oslo.
Return Policy Standard-Size Rugs
We offer a 30-day return policy on our standard-size rugs purchased at full price. Products purchased at a reduced price are eligible for a 14-day return period.
To be eligible for a return, the rug must be in unused condition, with all original labels attached and free from damage or signs of use. Please note that you are responsible for ensuring the item is securely packaged for return – LAYERED does not provide return packaging. A return shipping fee will apply and will be deducted from your refund.

Return Policy Bespoke & Made-to-Measure Rugs
We do not accept returns or exchanges on bespoke or made-to-measure rugs. As these pieces are crafted specifically for you, the order becomes final once production begins (typically within 3 days). After this point, we are unable to accept cancellations, modifications, or offer refunds. Learn more about Bespoke Sizing Here.
Furniture and Samples
As all our sofas are carefully made-to-order specifically for you, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on these items. Please note that product samples are also non-returnable.
Products Purchased at a Reduced Price (Archive)
You have 14 days from the date of delivery to return your product. Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging. Please note that we do not offer direct exchanges on discounted items – If you wish to change to a different size or model, please return your original order and place a new one. If the Archive Sale has concluded at the time of your new order, regular prices will apply.
Please note that discounted pricing is only valid during the Archive event. If you choose to return a product after the Archive has closed, we are unable to offer the same discount on future purchases. New orders will be invoiced at the current regular price, subject to availability.

How to Make a Return
Step 1: Register return
Register your return directly on our website by clicking the link above. To ensure a smooth experience, all rug returns are handled via home pickup. Once the registration is complete, the return label and return receipt will be sent to the email address you provided. You will need to print the return label yourself and attach it to the outside of the package.
Step 2: Prepare the package
Pack the item carefully to prevent any damage during transit. As the customer, you are responsible for ensuring the product is securely packaged and returned in good condition.
Place the return receipt inside the package.
Attach the return label visibly on the outside of the package.
Step 3: Send back the package
A carrier will collect the package at the agreed date and time,
or you can drop it off at your nearest service point, if that option is available.
Step 4: Refund
Once we have received and inspected your return, the refund is usually processed within 7–10 business days—provided the item is in approved condition. The return shipping cost will be deducted from the refund.
Return Process
Once your product has arrived at our warehouse, the processing of your return will begin. Please note that even if the tracking link shows that the rug has reached our warehouse, processing may take up to 14 days before the refund appears in your account.
Claims (Reclamations)
If your item is defective or damaged, you have the right to file a claim. You are entitled to a 3-year warranty under applicable consumer protection laws. To submit a claim, you will need your order number and a valid receipt from LAYERED AB.
To register a claim, follow the same steps as for a return, but select “Claim” in Step 1.
For the claim to be approved, the issue must be covered by the warranty, meaning it must be a clear manufacturing defect or damage that occurred during delivery. Claims due to stains, wear and tear, or damage caused by use – such as from furniture or other external factors – will not be approved.

EU Statutory Right of Withdrawal - only applies to EU customers
For a quick and seamless return with a pre-paid shipping label, please always use our standard Returns Portal.
EU law also requires us to provide a formal digital withdrawal function. Please note that if you choose to use this bureaucratic route instead of our Returns Portal, we do not provide a return shipping label. You will be responsible for booking and paying for the return freight yourself, which is often very expensive for bulky items like rugs and furniture.
