AMOS REX
In the heart of Helsinki lies Amos Rex, a museum where contemporary art and modern architecture come together in a stripped-down yet distinct environment. Designed by Finnish firm JKMM Architects, the museum features underground galleries with clean lines and large-scale spaces that provide a precise framework for both art and design.

The architectural language made Amos Rex a fitting location for the photography of Layered’s anniversary collection Ten Years Unfolded. The collection consists of five rugs with optical illusions and graphic patterns that explore rhythm, scale, and perspective. In dialogue with the museum’s minimalist architecture, the rugs’ interplay of lines and colors was accentuated, giving the visuals an additional dimension.
Where Architecture Meets Optical Illusions

Ten Years Unfolded, Amos Rex Helsinki Finland
The museum's collection spans from modernism to contemporary art, with a focus on digital installations and experimental expressions. Amos Rex has established itself as a central figure in the Nordic art scene, where the boundaries between art, design, and architecture are constantly renegotiated.
